PRESIDENT AND CEO:
MARK BONHAM
Mark Bonham is Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Stoney Ridge Estate Winery. Mr.
Bonham obtained a Masters of Science (Economics)
degree at the London School of Economics
and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree
from the University of Toronto.
An
entrepreneur Mr. Bonham founded BPI Mutual
Funds in 1986, where he served as Chairman,
President and CEO for 10 years. By 1995,
BPI Mutual Funds had become Canada’s
14th largest independent mutual fund company.
Believing that growth and market share in
the Canadian mutual fund market would be
driven by consolidation; Mr. Bonham sold
his equity interest in BPI. In 1986 he Founded
Strategic Value Corp., a Toronto Stock Exchange
listed company. The company grew through
a series of transactions over three years
into an industry leader with $3.5 Billion
in assets under management. In May 2000,
Mr. Bonham sold Strategic Value Corp. to
Nova Bancorp, a unit of the Caisse de depot
et placement du Quebec. He also serves as
CEO of Bonham & Co. Inc, a Toronto based
holding company.
A
well-known philanthropist, Mr. Bonham donated
$6M through his private foundation to establish
and endow the Bonham Centre for Finance
at the University of Toronto’s Joseph
L. Rotman School of Management. He is a
founder and serves as Chairman of the Gears
Racing Institute, a not-for-profit organization
created to train and promote Olympic-class
Mountain Bike and Road Racers in Canada.
In addition, Mr. Bonham donated $2.5 million
to Casey House in an effort to help alleviate
the scourge of AIDS in Canada.
Mark
Bonham is a member of the University of
Toronto’s ‘Group of 175’
- representing 175 of the university’s
most influential graduates.

CHIEF WINEMAKER:
RAY CORNELL
Ray Cornell is the Chief winemaker at Stoney Ridge Estate Winery, overseeing all winemaking and production operations. Ray has a very ‘hands-on’ style of winemaking, and enjoys getting out and ensuring that all of the actual physical processing of the fruit is carried out properly and carefully. Wines and winemaking has always been both a career and a passion for Ray, and he has received many industry accolades for his many accomplishments in the industry. Ray joined Stoney Ridge Estate Winery in January 2008, after previously serving as Chief Winemaker at Fielding Estate Winery and Hernder Estate Wines.

FOUNDER:
JIM WARREN
Jim Warren founded Stoney Ridge Estate Winery
in 1985 and held the position of President
and Winemaker until 1999. Jim Received his
Bachelor of Arts Degree from McMaster University
in Ontario and continued on to get his Masters.
Jim was a professor of French and Latin
at Hamilton High School until his retirement
in 1996. A highly decorated amateur and
professional winemaker, Jim Warren upholds
his industry standing as one of the most
notable figures in Ontario Winemaking history.
In addition to his ongoing work at Stoney
Ridge, Jim is currently the Executive Director
of the Fruit Wines of Ontario Association
as well as Professor of Winemaking at Niagara
College's Teaching Winery. Jim also provides
winemaking and wine education services to
numerous clients. In 1982 Jim was voted
Man of the Year by the Ontario Grape Grower
and Marketing Board, and in 1997 Jim was
named Ontario Winemaker of the Year.
