April 2005: Stoney Ridge offers purchase of limited edition wines!
In celebration of our 20th Anniversary, we are once again offering our loyal customers a selection of our best wines of the vintage at significant savings over the normal retail price. Customers have the unique opportunity to purchase the limited edition wines before supplies run out, and will receive the wines before they are released to the general public.

This year's offering includes a variety of wines from the excellent 2004 vintage made by Chief Winemaker Liubomir Popovici. Liubomir's award winning wines reflect the art of crafting the most elegant varietal representations possible by utilizing traditional practices combined with innovative technology. July 2004: Stoney Ridge Welcomes The Cheeseboard!
The newest edition to Stoney Ridge Estate Winery comes in the form of a cheese boutique. The new store, operated by recognized sommelier Sam Wiebe, features Artisan cheeses both domestic and imported as well as unique breads and gourmet food products. The store is located at the winery and is open from 10-5pm daily.

Stoney Ridge and The Cheeseboard are now offering lunches on the patio. These gourmet lunches feature a unique collection of cheeses, fruit quiche or wraps and come paired with complementing wines. The lunches are reasonably priced and available daily.

Opening May 2004: The New Stoney Ridge Estate Winery

Stoney Ridge is proud to announce the grand opening of its newly renovated Retail Store, Wine Library and Hospitality Facility.

The renovations to the existing building not only reflect the dramatic success that Stoney Ridge wines have enjoyed recently, but also reinforce our ongoing commitment to the highest quality wines and customer service. The renovations include expanded facilities to host private tastings, conferences as well as corporate and private functions.

In addition, our newly redesigned retail store and vintage wine library will be an aesthetically pleasing showcase for our extensive wine portfolio. Be sure to visit us in our new home this summer! For event booking please call us at (905) 562-1324 Ext. 25.

March 2004
The annual Cuvee wine competition and gala was held this year in Niagara-On-The-Lake with the top two awards going to Stoney Ridge Estate Winery. Considered to be the Oscars of the Ontario wine industry, this prestigious event is the only wine competition in Ontario that is judged exclusively by winemakers from Ontario. Her Excellency, the Governor General was on hand during the award ceremony and congratulated Stoney Ridge on their achievement. In an unprecedented victory Stoney Ridge made history, being awarded the highest awards of Best Red Wine of Show and Best Red of Show. Three of the four Stoney Ridge wines entered were awarded gold medals. The winning wines are as follows:

• 2002 Reserve Cabernet Franc – Best Red Wine of Show
• 2003 Founder’s Signature Collection Charlotte’s Chardonnay – Best White Wine of Show
• 2002 Reserve Merlot – Best Limited Edition Red Wine

March 2004
The 21st annual Toronto Wine & Cheese Competition was held on March 12-14 in Toronto. The international competition features 53 wineries from around the world, in a strictly supervised blind tasting headed by Wine Educator Tony Aspler. Of the 400+ wines entered, Stoney Ridge 2002 Reserve Cabernet Franc received the award for Best Red Wine of Show. In addition, Stoney Ridge tied to receive the most awards handed to a single winery at the show; 7 medals in total, including 2 of the 13 Gold Medals awarded to wines. The awards Include:

• 2002 Bench Cabernet Franc – Bronze Medal
• 2002 Bench Cabernet Merlot – Bronze Medal
• 2003 Founder’s Signature Collection Charlotte’s Chardonnay – Silver Medal
• 2002 Sauvignon Blanc – Bronze Medal
• 2002 Reserve Cabernet Franc – Gold Medal
• 2002 Reserve Merlot -- Silver Medal
• 1999 Vidal Icewine – Gold Medal
