2007 Riesling
Price: $13.20
The 2007 VQA Riesling is a classic Alsatian Riesling, just off-dry, but with a crisp acidity that not only balances the small residual, but actually confers the perception of dryness. This wine is not only refreshing by itself, or as an aperitif, but is wonderfully suited to foods as the acidity will clean your palate for the next bite of your food.
This wine has a distinct aroma of citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit and lemon, and on the palate has a subtle minerality which adds both to the flavour and enhances the bouquet which contains traces of honey and peach. After about 3 years this wine will start to acquire a distinct petrol character which is particularly pleasing to Riesling fans.
