The 2005 Reserve Merlot is a medium to full bodied, deep ruby red wine with a complex bouquet of plum and black cherry with subtle hints of cedar and white pepper. The palate is a mix of ripe, red berry fruit accented with a smooth vanilla and mellow oak finish.  It has excellent acid and tannin structure indicating this wine was meant to be aged. With decanting this wine can be enjoyed now but will continue to develop more complex characteristics and smoothness over the next 5 to 9 years.
