Last month, we sold out of the Doug Gilmour Bin 93 Red and heard back from many of you were disappointed to not be able to get your Gilmour wines. So, as fair warning, we are down to the last few cases of the Gilmour White and are offering this amazing ben end offer to celebrate the last of the Gilmour series of wines. While supplies last, we are offering the Bin 93 White at 40% off on the purchase of a case. The Vintage:

The 2017 vintage started off with heavy periodic rainfalls in spring and throughout most of the summer months. Luckily, the rainy weather was punctuated by sunny days that allowed the grapes to keep maturing and kept disease pressure under control. Finally, September arrived, and Ontario welcomed steady warm, dry weather. Unseasonably warm, dry conditions continued through October and November, allowing the grapes a welcome break from precipitation and affording time to reach ideal ripeness levels.

Tasting Notes:
An exotic blend of aromatic white grape varieties including Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Riesling. This wine has richness in body from partial oak ageing and an expressive nose of peach, honey and delicate citrus on the nose. The palate is rich and medium bodied with balancing acidity and a clean, crisp finish. Enjoy with a range of lighter fare including roast chicken, pan seared whitefish or soft cheeses.

Technical Notes:
Grapes were harvested mid September from select vineyards in the Niagara Peninsula at an average of 20° Brix. The fruit was crushed and immediately pressed upon arrival at the winery. The juice was fermented in 100% stainless steel, temperature controlled tanks to preserve its lively aromatics. The 3 grape varieties were processed and fermented separately in predominantly stainless steel tanks. Blended and bottled January 2019.
