The Fully Completely Reserve Red was originally created to commemorate the Hips announcement of the re-release of their legendary album Fully Completely and 2015 North American Tour. The wine was co-created by band members Gord Downie, Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair, and Johnny Fay in conjunction with Stoney Ridge Estate Winery. The 2020 vintage once again features an exact replication of the original artwork that first appeared on the Fully Completely album cover.

 Tasting Notes:

An elegant and fruit forward Bordeaux style blend. A nose of candied red berry fruit including raspberry, currant and cherry mingled with savoury oak notes of vanilla, cigar and toast. These aromatics carry over to the palate, along with bright notes of plum, blueberry, strawberry jam and allspice. The palate is softly textured, with moderate tannin and delicate acidity. Drinking 2023 – 2026.

Winemakers Notes:

A blend of 54% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and 22% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes were harvested from select vineyards in the Niagara Peninsula. The fruit came in clean with good flavour concentration and an average brix of 21.5°. Grapes were crushed and fermented in separate lots in stainless steel tanks and one tonne fermenter bins. The wine was then racked into new and seasoned French and American oak barrels for 18 months prior to blending. 1670 cases were bottled May, 2023.
